Noam Oster is an American-born photographer who divides his time between New York City and London. He is currently recieving his BFA at the University of the Arts, London, and has worked as both a teaching assistant at the International Center of Photography and photo lab technician. His approach is freeform and intentionally fractured; he approaches the medium similarly to a stream of consciousness, not unlike Andre Breton’s ‘automatic writing’. Embedded in his work is the belief that the single image, much like a poem, is capable of distilling reality into an expressive form that can transcend its physical representation.
